Text: Genesis 3:8
God created man so that he can glorify Him by communing with Him. He desires constant fellowship with man as evidenced in His communion with Adam in the Garden of Eden in the cool of the day. We are His heart passion; and He is not happy when our passion for Him is substituted for mundane things.
God has called us into a walking relationship that involves:
– Joint decision making
– Mutual delight
– Shared dominion
As much as God is passionate to fellowship with us, we should also desire to fellowship with Him. The joy of His presence that comes as we go into His house should be our longing. Ps. 122:1. When our hearts are in tune with Him, our eyes are lifted up to Him continually and all our hopes are totally on him. Heb. 12:2; Psalm 123:1; Psalm 81:13. Then God begins to unfold the secrets of His Kingdom unto us. Gen. 6:9.
The desire of God is for a man; a man that seeks Him with all his heart. His eyes look throughout the earth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts yearn after Him. Do we earnestly desire God? Are we passionate about walking with Him? A great world of wonders abound for the person who walks consistently with God. Our lives will then be a blessing to others as God works through us.
